SAINT MARTIAL'S CHURCH
Church dating from the 11th and 12th centuries, with the particularity of having a bell tower separated from the nave
Built in the 11th and 12th centuries, the church of Toulx-Sainte-Croix is of the Poitevin Romanesque type. It is composed of a circular apse and also has the peculiarity of having its bell tower separate from the nave. Indeed, part of this nave has disappeared and a wall with a porch, framed by two granite lions, closes the building. In the bell tower, which is also guarded by a granite lion, there are sarcophagi and funerary urns. The interior of the church is painted. The church is classified as a Historical Monument.
