FÊTE DU PAIN DE L'ÎLE DE VASSIVIÈRE
A festive moment that we are happy to find: each year the castle bread oven, formerly used by the Vassivière family, is flared to cook good pies from Limousin. In the exceptional framework of the island of Vassivière, the association La Route du bread brings to visitors the know-how of Limousin in this area with bread baked in wood fire from the flavours of the land. Flour, leaven, punch him and cook, all stages are discussed until of course tasting. Free cooking on site. A small market of local producers (sometimes even black ass) on the castle square, animations, crafts, workshops, street shows or visits accompany this wonderful moment.
