Created by Louis Jouvet, thanks to the will of a mayor and the audacity of a master, a master's director, a coope ́ ration, to climb every summer, a festival of the ́, which gave birth in 2002 to the ́ Du ́ du Cloi ̂ tre. This festival is one of the oldest festivals in France, after that of Avignon. Despite its past 60 years (in 2013), it has the impetus of youth. Originally dedicated to theatre, he now welcomes cinema, circus and music (jazz, young French talent) in his programming of about performances. The city is literally invested by the event on the banks of the River River and the theatre boards. There have been, among others, Jean Piat, Michel Galabru, André Dussolier, Annie Girardot, Ariane Ascaride, Francis Huster, Jacques Weber… And for music: Claude Bolling, the Golden Gate Piano, Wrigles, Christophe Mali or Archie Shepp. At each edition, a piece signed by Jean Giraudoux, the child of the country, is on display. It is also an opportunity for the association of friends of the writer to launch his summer exhibition in the author's home.
