FOIRE AUX CHAPONS
A colourful and animated appointment that, since 1992, has become a real institution. Every year more than 15 000 visitors roam the 200 exhibitors. During the year-end celebrations, the chapon (chicken, but also guinea fowl or quail) is obviously the star star. Award winning animals are sold by auction. A champion can cost up to several euro centaires! We also find our big chickens castrated as a tiercé is organised. In the morning, the brotherhoods with robes and chefs parade in the aisles at the meeting of the badauts and exhibitors, the Brotherhood of Capons taking advantage of this great popular gathering to enthrone its new members. Hot buffet. Many stalls also of trinkets, crafts, ready-to-wear…
