THE SHEPHERDESS OF THE WAR MEMORIAL
Passing through the village of Heaven, take the time to contemplate the statue of the bergère of the monument to the dead. This sculpture, dating back to 1935, represents a young peasant limousine, chaussée and holding a gerbe of wheat. It is covered with a cape that opens up its face, in eyes down. She became famous in 1985 when her model, the mother of actor Victor Lanoux, returned to her and visited her. The commune kept in memory the words uttered by that person that day: " Leaving this land, I hope to rise to heaven, for fifty years I'm already there. '»»»»
