LA FORET DE BOUBON
A communal forest of 100 ha, very well maintained, where it is good to walk alone, between friends or family, for the freshness and beauty of the forest site, but also for the little intangible heritage it is home to. A former monastic site linked to the order of Fontevrault, Boubon was ravaged during the war of Hundred Ants and the Revolution. The church Saint John, transformed into a barn, and the house of the prior are the only witnesses of this past. The "Boubon forest" circuit (downloadable on the High-Vienna hiking website) and the permanent orientation route will lead you to the secrets of this forest: at the turn of the paths, the holes of the resistance where the resistance came to hide await you. Other highlights of the walk: the panorama on the Blond de Blond and the grain mill.
