AU MOULIN DE LA GORCE
Hotel-restaurant offering gastronomic cuisine that varies with the seasons.
In an enchanting setting, at the foot of a beautiful cascading pond, this renowned hotel-restaurant offers top-level services and gastronomic cuisine of the most classic kind, which manages to maintain its Michelin star. The chef, Pierre Bertranet, has worked in the Parisian kitchens of the Ritz, Drouant and Maxim's. He elaborates refined dishes that vary with the seasons, a deliberately limited menu for each day offering the best according to the inspiration of the moment. Among the "Moulin de la Gorce must-tries", scrambled egg with truffles as a starter and the Puits d'Amour as a dessert whose fruits vary with the seasons (mango, Juillac raspberries in summer...). Among other examples that can be mentioned to get an idea: the carpaccio of Breton langoustines with chives and lime cream, the fricassee of sweetbreads julienne of vegetables fresh truffles rissoles of potatoes and wild mushrooms. It's hard to resist the superb platter of ripened cheeses. Among the menus, you can choose from the starter/main course to the menu "Dégustation accord mets et vins", including the starter, main course and dessert in half. With more than 4,000 bottles in the cellar, the great vintages rub shoulders with more accessible, but off the beaten track, wines. In the summer, you can have lunch on the terrace. The 16th-century building also houses charming and characterful rooms.
