Restaurant using fresh local fish, meat, poultry and produce.
Maïlys and Romain Jallet offer a warm welcome to the historic town of Le Dorat. First of all, we're seduced by the authentic charm that emanates from the stone-panelled dining room, tastefully decorated with a mix of contemporary furniture and objects from the past. Among the dishes on offer is a homemade foie gras terrine, one of La Marmite's specialties! You'll then be tempted by a piece of Blason Prestige Limousin beef, or Baronet du Limousin lamb, two dishes not to be missed in this house that favors the very best of the terroir. Fish is also well prepared: skate wing steamed with mint or roasted wolfish steak. All beautifully presented, appealing to the eye before the taste buds. For dessert, Le Petit Futé warmly recommends the chocolate cookie coulant, another house specialty. Products are fresh and often local: goat cheeses from Gaëlle Deversenne, poultry from Didier Cotte. The restaurant also prepares meal trays and takeaways.
