SAINT-PIERRE COLLEGIATE CHURCH
A church emblematic of Romanesque art in the Limousin region, dating back to the century.
Built in 1013 to accommodate a college of canons, the first church, burned by the inhabitants, was rebuilt in the 12th century. The collegiate church, fortified in the 15th century, became one of the most beautiful jewels of Romanesque art in Limousin. The building, 77 meters long, houses a crypt dedicated to Saint Anne. The octagonal bell tower with three floors is topped by a slender spire dominated by a 13th century copper angel. To see, the treasure, preserved in showcases in the sacristy, and the 19th century stained glass windows, works of Edouard Didron.
