BROUSSAUD TEXTILES
Broussaud Textiles is a textile manufacturer specialized in the manufacture of socks for three generations. Its know-how is recognized by the label Entreprise du patrimoine vivant. And its products have received the approval of the Origine France Garantie label.
History. The company has been located in the heart of the Limousin region since its creation in 1938. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious socks and pantyhose factories in Limousin. In 1960, the French knitwear industry was doing wonderfully well, only a crisis began to appear in the 1970s. The family business then undertook to break prices by delivering larger volumes. From 1995 onwards, foreign competition will almost wipe out the family business.
It is the meeting between Aymeric Broussaud and Alain Berest that will give Broussaud Textiles a new lease of life by highlighting the French know-how of medium- to high-end quality socks. Since then, in constant evolution, Broussaud has even designed the socks of the Belgian artist, Stromaë.
