FESTIVAL URBAKA
Every year for 31 years in Limoges, the street has been greeting the beginning of summer. With some twenty editions to its credit, more than 200,000 spectators and 600 artists from here and elsewhere, Urbaka - an entirely free festival - is more than just a street arts festival. Its ambition: creation and intervention in the public space, rural and urban, with a view to its reappropriation. Thus the festival invests the squares and gardens of the city for multiform artistic interventions. Circus artists, actors, dancers and musicians take over the public space and disguise reality to make it their theatre. At each street corner, the walker comes across disturbing creatures and unusual characters.
See you on July 24 and 31, and August 7, 14 and 21.
