E.N.S.C.I.
The Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Ceramic Industriel has joined Ester Technopole since the 2010 European Ceramics centre with its two Research Laboratories. One, specialized in the science of ceramic processes and surface treatments, integrates scientists from the CNRS. The second team of researchers is interested in the minerals used in many industrial products, particularly in the construction sector. This move allows the school to move closer to the member companies of the ceramic competitiveness pole and the students are thus close to potential employers. CAR trains future industrial ceramic engineers. One might think that this material is not modern. And yet ceramics is present in MP 3 drives, solar panels, wind turbines, medical prostheses; it is used in aerospace or construction. ENSCI issues an engineering diploma after three years of study, and a doctorate in science and Engineering in Mechanical, Energy and Aeronautics materials. It also proposes continuing training. To take part in the first year, recruitment takes place on file and competition at Lac + 2, but places are also open to the scientific school of the year. To enter directly in the 2nd year, it is on file at lac + 4.
