ARCHIVES MUNICIPALES
The renovated site reopened its doors in summer 2015 after a few months of work, favouring brightness and reading comfort. With its 2 000 m ² of space and 6,5 km of linear, the municipal archives allow for consultation of documents covering the history of Limoges from the th century to the present. In the course of exploration, students and local history buffs can, for example, immerse themselves in the adventure of the porcelainière industry through maps and maps, orders and minutes, private funds of manufactures (including the Haviland) or photographs. It is also an obligation for all genealogists who are looking for limougeauds ancestors. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
