Little is known about Limoges' glorious distillery past, but yet for nearly two centuries it was the city that distilled cognacs, armagnacs, rums, liquor wines and many other products. The distillery of the center, founded in 1789, is the last heir of this tradition and will help you to discover all the specificity of its activity. The talent and professionalism of this distillery are such that, during the Universal Exhibition of Paris in 1900, it was classified out of competition and appointed member of the jury ! It's the teacher bowing to the student! Today, the distillery has many medals on its list of achievements and it has been awarded the national label "Entreprise du patrimoine vivant", awarded by the Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Employment, in recognition of "rare, renowned or ancestral know-how". It is thus a page of history, and not the least, that you will discover when crossing the threshold of this noble establishment.
