FATHER BEAVER'S FRIENDS
An association working to preserve the Père Castor house, offering exhibitions, readings and events.
If Santa Claus' house is at the North Pole (or in Lapland...), Father Beaver's is in Haute-Vienne! Go to the intermunicipal media library in Meuzac to listen to his stories. Why here in the middle of nature? Because it is in this commune that the founder of the collection, Paul Faucher, took refuge during the war. His "good friends" meet there in an association that works for the preservation of this cultural heritage. The archive section can be consulted, but only by appointment. The media library offers many activities: exhibitions, readings (where children can come in their pyjamas with their pillows), an adventure trail in the undergrowth along the stream to discover the arboretum, the orchard and the plant maze. A magical place for all those who love books, but also the local culture, old stories and... Father Beaver.
