TWO MEDIEVAL BRIDGES

Two bridges which are among the rare medieval vestiges of the city, offering the opportunity of a small stroll in Nedde
Nedde's two bridges, the three-arched village bridge and the Chaveyrolas bridge, are among the few medieval remains in the city. Indeed, it is regrettable that the old feudal castle has disappeared under a construction dating back to Henry IV, which is now the property of the holiday village and rehabilitated for these uses. Crossing the Vienne river, the bridges offer the opportunity for a short stroll near the river around which the national forest of Chaud extends. Proof of their place in the life of the city, they are known for the famous international race "des deux ponts" which takes place every year on the first weekend of August. A traditional festival is then in full swing with various competitions and parades of floats in bloom.
