LUCETTE BRANDY
Lucette Brandy is an artist and sculptor based in Nieul. Her studio offers various creative spaces, including a large room for monumental pieces. Lucette Brandy works with a variety of materials, including plaster, bronze, papier-mâché and porcelain bisque. Her plaster sculptures are intended to be cast in bronze, while those in bronze are made using the lost-wax technique. Works in papier mâché are one-offs created from paper pulp, while porcelain cookie pieces are numbered and signed by the artist. Lucette Brandy also has permanent exhibitions in various galleries in France, including Bordeaux, La Flotte and Biarritz. Her work is characterized by soft, slightly mocking sculptures that catch the light and invite you to caress them. Lucette Brandy's sculptures reflect a familiar, indulgent universe, where violence is deliberately absent.
