BUDDHIST PAGODA
Buddhist pagoda, called Tung Lam Linh-Son, a secluded spot away from noise and disturbance, ideal for meditation.
In the vicinity of Rancon, you may be surprised to come face to face with a monument that doesn't seem very "local": a stupa rising amidst oak trees. Yet this Buddhist monastery, called Tung Lam Linh-Son, has been here for 30 years. A secluded spot away from noise and disturbance, ideal for meditation. All year round, it welcomes visitors seeking peace and quiet to study and practice the Dharma, the Buddha's teaching. Nuns and monks are trained, laypeople are guided in their practice and beginners are initiated. Ceremonies, prayers, text study, meditation and silent meals take place in peaceful surroundings. Some thirty hectares of greenery and ponds house a main temple, a temple dedicated to the deceased which serves as a repository for ashes, a library, a guest house, altars and a kiosk.
