LAC DE SAINT-PARDOUX

The lake of Saint-Pardoux is a major tourist site in Upper Vienna and Limousin. The 330 hectares of water, the 22 million m ³ of water, share among various communes (Compreignac, Razès, Saint-Pardoux, Saint-Symphorien-sur-Couze), offering a multitude of activities of full nature, solo, friends or family. These are among the three beaches (Santrop, Chabannes and Fréaudour) monitored in July and August. Depending on the sites, guests can relax and have fun using the pedal boat, canoeing, beach games, sailing, water skiing and also the "Tree & Adventure" acrobatic park. In high season, fireworks or beach cinema and other free entertainment are organised. Lake Saint-Pardoux is also an ideal place for hiking, cycling or horse riding with 50 km of marked trails. The "Tour du Lac" allows for 24 km to discover the outstanding natural environments (landes, heather, massive forest…). A cycling trail connects Santrop to Fréaudour and equestrian centres offer walks, stays and other courses. Finally, fishing is still very practiced on the 2nd ^{category lake with nearly 28 kilometres of shoreline. Possibility to dine at the beach kiosks. A campsite (four stars) offers accommodation possibilities, as well as numerous nearby cottages.}
