Lastours's site bears witness to several periods of occupation, but it is in the Middle Ages that the Puissante, the powerful noble family of the region, come into history, the most famous being Gouffier, the "Lion to the Lion" hero of the first crusade. A whole celebration program for damoiseaux and damsels. On July 23rd, for Sainte-Marguerite, the castle's embrasement is very impressive.
