214 million years ago, a gigantic meteorite crashed into this area. Carving out a crater 20 km in diameter, the impact created typical rocks known as breccias. These breccias, the stony results of this extraterrestrial collision, can be seen in all the buildings in and around the town. The Espace Météorite (Meteorite Space) is the perfect place to find out more, thanks to an itinerary featuring numerous panels, videos and models, as well as discovery tours of the town.

Très intéressante visite, prévoir deux heures car la personne qui nous accueille. Les panneaux sont clairs et richement documentés. Si possible prévoir le temps de la randonnée guidée sur site.
