Chapel of flamboyant Gothic style with the Virgin and Child in limestone, Louis XI would have ordered the construction to shelter it
Built at the end of the Pont Notre-Dame, this flamboyant Gothic chapel houses a 13th-century limestone statue of the Virgin and Child. The story goes that Louis XI ordered the chapel to be enlarged in the 15th century to house this statue, which appeared one day on the riverbank and became a veritable object of worship. On the façade: a double door with armorial bearings. A beautiful edifice, a quiet, restful spot that invites you to take a pleasant stroll along the banks of the Vienne.
