The small town of Saint-Just-le-Martel finds its place on the cultural map of France with its famous festival of press cartoons and comedy. In 1982, the first show welcomed two cartoonists and about forty exhibitors! Over the years, the organisation became more structured and the big names in drawing were attracted and accepted the invitation. Every year, at the end of September and beginning of October, the most beautiful cartoons, press cartoons and comedies come from all over the world. 500 participants each year, coming from about a hundred countries. The natives host the guests, and the atmosphere of the festival is family and good-natured. It is also an opportunity to discover many retrospectives and thematic exhibitions. Prizes are awarded, including the "cow humor" prize, rewarded by a beautiful four-legged limousine. Saint-Just-le-Martel is the undisputed capital of this form of expression. The exhibition takes place at the International Centre for Caricature, Press Cartoons and Humour. Exhibitions are set up there throughout the year.
