Lost at sea, the Knight of Mérignac made a vow to build, if alive, a chapel to the Virgin. It was built in the th century Notre-Dame de Sauvagnac which, over time, expanded and embellished. Today is one of the three religious buildings of the commune. Inside, a stained glass window, a statue of the Virgin to the Child, a Beauté of all beauty, many ex-voto, an enamel, Notre-Dame-des-Maquis, offered by a prisoner tuvok and released thanks to her prayers, as well as a plaque memory in memory of Grammont's resistance killed on 3 August 1944. It is the oldest Marian sanctuary in Limousin, which still remains an important place of devotion and pilgrimage, especially on the Sunday following 8 September. At 200 metres, the fountain of Notre-Dame de Sauvagnac has a little oratory. Two other clochers of Saint-Léger-la-Montagne are the church of the village church (statue of Saint-Roch, beautiful stall of the Previous and recent stained glass) and the church of Saint-Pierre-la-Montagne, which has a copper door unique in the region.
