Just a five-minute drive from the village of Saint-Léonard, this is an easy trail to follow.
The Prieuré de l'Artige circuit is a wonderful way to discover ancient mills and the confluence of the Maulde and Vienne rivers. Over a distance of 8 km (just under 2 hrs), the route takes you through woods and fields on sunken lanes and forest or farm paths. You'll enjoy superb, soothing views over the surrounding countryside and other villages in neighboring valleys. A pleasant loop, a lovely walk with no particular difficulties.
