LE VERGER DE QUINSAC
Located in the middle of the orchards of the country Arédien since 1977, the Verger Orchard has converted its 44 hectares of land into organic farming in 2010. Murielle and Hervé Ferand are independent producers for whom bio is "a real global life project". They grow eleven varieties of apples and two varieties of pear, mostly rustic, as well as chestnuts. They turn their fruits into juices (raw or mixed, pears, apples-currants, châtaignes), vinegar and jams. They provide organic stores in Limoges, but also local conservators. More surprising, the couple has built its cellar in bloom to produce the whole year of shiitakés. Their pétillant of apples received the silver medal at the Regional Flavours Competition. The products are also present in the organic stores and producer stores of the surrounding area.
