SOS FAUNE SAUVAGE
SOS Wildlife manages a Regional Backup centre. This is the association that must be called when a injured bird or mammal is found. A professional who holds a certificate of wildlife care in the wild places the child in medical care, with the support of a veterinarian. When the deceased regained his strength, he was released on his home territory. The protected species found throughout Limousin (birds of prey, water birds, passereaux, hedgehogs, squirrels…) are welcomed. On the website, an animal can be sponsored. We will then receive news from him by e-mail, as well as information about the characteristics of his species, his way of life, etc. Volunteers also sell fat balls, nest boxes and small crafts that can be purchased in various markets and fairs, or by calling the centre. There is no need to go there: regulations prohibit the reception of the public (except to bring an injured animal). The backup centre works thanks to volunteers, you can offer your help throughout the year.
