FERME LE HILLOT
Carola and Gerhard raise alpacas - a small cousin of the llama native to South America - on their farm in the northeast of the Landes. These animals with a life expectancy of 20 to 25 years are as soft as the wool they provide. Your children will crack when they come into contact with this living plush! Once a year, the owners shear their animals by hand: 22 natural colours ranging from white to brown, grey and intense black. In addition to the farm itself, which is open to visitors, you can take wheel spinning classes, create decorative objects and felted wool jewellery, and learn the felting and crochet technique. Find these different techniques thanks to the pieces sold in the shop: hats, scarves, scarves, jewellery and wool balls.
