On the forecourt of the Maison de la Dame de Brassempouy, the Bistroquet de la Dame also welcomes you between the two services during the summer vacations for a drink or a snack. In the kitchen, chef David Jourdain expresses himself through local, seasonal cuisine. This lover of fish - from the Capbreton fish auction - always thinks to include a suggestion from the sea in one of his menus. At lunchtime, including Saturdays, you can enjoy the Bistroquet menu at 21 euros. The chef also offers a 4-course blind menu.

Un excellent cadre, une cuisine de qualité et un personnels au petit soins avec beaucoup d'humour. Une très bonne table.

Le positif: Cuisine très bonne, produits très frais.
Le négatif: Une des serveuses plus âgée était très désagréable. Nous voulions prendre un tataki de bœuf, on nous a dit au dernier moment qu’il n’y en avait plus car vu que c’est des produits frais, dès que c’est écoulé, il n’y en a plus. Nous pouvons donc comprendre que la dispo n’est pas la même. Cette serveuse nous a donc redirigé vers du porc confit. Nous optons pour cette proposition. Néanmoins, même pas 2 minutes après je demande à changer pour un foie gras poêlé. On a fait des histoires de ouf pour me le changer. C’est un peu agaçant pour le client qu’on discute sa demande avec un ton accusateur. La base du commerce c’est d’écouter les demandes du client. De plus cette serveuse n’avait aucun sourire, on avait l’impression qu’elle n’avait pas envie d’être là, parlait mal à la petite jeune qui servait devant les clients. Nous ne viendrons plus, ça n’est pas agréable de manger des ces conditions. Dommage car les plats sont très bons, je félicite le chef et son équipe néanmoins !!

Probably the worst experience we’ve had as restaurant customers. Because our daughters are vegetarian and the menu is understandably meat-dominated we went off piste and asked for two plain poached eggs with frites for each of them. This appeared to be no trouble at first, but when they eventually arrived, late, they were drowned in chorizo and creamed aubergine. My wife and our companion speak good French and explained the issue but there was no apology. We asked for the correct order to be sent, but waited half an hour and when we went to check what was happening, it turned out they hadn’t even put the replacement order through. When the replacements did eventually arrive they were wrong again — only one egg per person instead of two and still served with the aubergine etc (although at least they didn’t have any meat). We had also asked for bread in the meantime which they also forgot. Eventually, 1 hour 45 minutes after ordering and with the children having got two out of four eggs — at 10 euros each — the girls ate the eggs out of hunger and gave up on trying to get the plain eggs we had wanted, and asked for the bill. We were also waiting for ice cream which came as part of the children’s meal which hadn’t arrived, so we decided not to wait any longer for them). When the bill arrived they had charged us for four eggs at a total of €40 and when my wife asked the chef-manager whether they shouldn’t at least take off the eggs out of pure politeness, she showed zero contrition for our delayed and frustrating customer experience. Her argument was, quite simply, “Well you ate the eggs so you have to pay for them”. When we remonstrated that we had to eat them or go hungry, she picked up her phone and threatened to call the police.

Still, our steak was quite nice so there is that.

Endroit idyllique où vous êtes accueillie par Mélanie la maitresse de maison et sa super équipe en salle, rien cuisine c'est David qui joue les clef d'orchestre vous offrant une cuisine de qualité et de terroir. Un vrai bonheur. Encore merci.❤️

En visite au préhistosite nous avons trouvé utile qu'un restaurant soit attenant. Cependant le menu du midi le moins cher est à 21 € (pas 21.90 comme écrit précédemment erreur de frappe excusez nous), avec un supplément de 8€ pour un magret de canard non entier pas indiqué comme tel sur le menu (carrément très cher pour le peu de viande dans l'assiette). Même chose pour le tataki de bœuf les lamelles étaient très voir trop fines. C'est dommage que la quantité ne suive pas car les plats sont bons. Service souriant mais trop long, alors que le bistroquet n'était pas complet.
