CHÂTEAU
This castle has an ogival entrance door, surmounted by the Hazard coat of arms, and a cross with four dice
Hugues des Hazards, a humanist prelate who became the 74th bishop of Toul in 1506, was born in this castle in 1454. It is in fact a former episcopal palace that he had fortified with the help of the population. The population was able to build, inside the enclosure, lodges, intended for the storage of crops, and small houses. One wing of the building is now occupied by the town hall. There are still ramparts and towers, used as a support for the houses. To be seen: the ogive entrance door, surmounted by the Hazards' coat of arms, and a cross with four dice. A site which constitutes the richness of the heritage of Lorraine.
