MUNICIPAL PARK OF CHAMPIGNEULLES
Park with remarkable trees and hornbeams from the Haye forest, various nature animations are organized.
The municipal park of Champigneulles, composed of remarkable trees and hornbeams from the forest of The Hague, was laid out around 1710 for the Count of Fontenoy, butler of Duke Leopold. The paths and the canal were laid out according to the rules of classical landscape tradition. In the 19th century, the park underwent major changes but maintained the presence of the Bellefontaine stream. The latter fed the other water points (waterfalls, pond) in the park. This park is a real green lung in the heart of the commune. Throughout the year, young and old alike can take a break in the open air and enjoy the many nature activities organised.
