MARCHÉ AUX POISSONS
Capbreton is one of the few towns where fish goes directly from the fisherman to the consumer! Every day, depending on the weather, as you stroll along the quay, you'll witness the return of the gillnetters, caseyeurs, trollers or the fleet's only trawler. Gavroche, P'tit Loup, Syrius... At the foot of the harbor master's office, each of the 19 boats has its own sales table, packed with ice flakes. The fishermen place the day's catch before your very eyes! The surplus is collected by the Saint-Jean-de-Luz/Ciboure auction truck.
