The Abbé Grégoire Museum in Emberménil, presenting the life's work of the parish priest of Emberménil during the French Revolution
This museum presents the work of the life of the priest of Emberménil, Abbé Grégoire, at the time of the French Revolution. Rallying with the Third State and the Constituent Assembly, he became an emblematic figure in the fight for the abolition of slavery and the emancipation of the Jewish people, the instigator of the reorganization of public education, the Museum of Natural History and the Garden of Plants. A promoter of the French language and universal suffrage, he was one of the greatest humanists of his century! 13 stained glass windows tell his story.
