Over 800 000 old and old books are gathered in the 15 bouquineries of this small village, typically Lorraine, which has made its reputation known. They will be joined by other booksellers from the Grand Eastern region. The association «the Friends of the Book» created in 1996 the village of the Book of Fontenoy-la-Joûte under the impetus of François Guillaume. She animates it, develops it through multiple animations: Spring unpacking, exhibitions, lounges, thematic weekends, destockage… It also organizes an annual contest for writing news, free and open to everyone.
