TICHÉMONT CASTLE
Castle full of history, being a fortified house, tower and fortress, with one of the largest terraced gardens in Lorraine
The Société des mines de fer de Giraumont has preserved this historic CASTLE, acquired in 1912. Now run by Olivier Pluntz, it offers guided tours. The site was repeatedly modified by conflict, with Gothic architecture and fortified elements dating back to the 13th century. The building, officially called a "fortified house" since 1388, contains traces dating back to 1055. The CASTLE retains its fortification features, while its terraced gardens and parkland make it a rare and remarkable site in Lorraine.
