FORT UHRICH PARK
A stronghold built by the Prussians to protect Strasbourg, with its historic moat and landscaped walkway.
This stronghold is one of 14 forts built by the Prussians around Strasbourg between 1872 and 1882, to protect the city in the event of war. The site can be reached on foot or by bike via the Forts trail. You can take a tour of the Fort (not open to visitors) along the surrounding paths. The historic moat that once encircled the building has been restored to enhance its natural surroundings. Visitors can discover this heritage along a pathway. Information panels trace the fort's history.
