Redeveloped with new plantings and new street furniture, it has regained its original vocation as a family place for walking, relaxation and a pleasant, landscaped link between the hyper-centre, shops and services and the rear of the city. It is a very busy place of passage located in the heart of the city centre. With the construction of the Gilbert Schwartz area, a former swimming pool that has been rehabilitated as a centre dedicated to early childhood and social services, and the relocation of the war memorial, the square offers a new, dynamic and attractive view of the city centre. In the foreground, circular staircases lead to a magnificent forecourt, while in the background, vegetation harmoniously balances the space. A fresco created by the youth department, along the wall of the Citroën garage, completes this pleasant setting. A place that is also a space for festive events
