53RD SIGNAL REGIMENT HOUSE OF TRADITIONS
Museum located in the heart of the barracks of the 53rd transmission regiment, the historical showcase of Lunéville
Centuries ago, Lunéville was known for its cavalry. Today, it is the 53rd Regiment of Signals that is the pride of a large part of its inhabitants. This museum, open to all, military, civilians, schoolchildren and students, is above all the result of a real passion for the militaria. Located in the very heart of the 53rd Signal Regiment barracks, this 100 m² museum is its historical showcase. Five themed rooms take us back in time, to discover in turn the period from 1700-1800, the 1850s to the 14-18s, and finally from the Second World War to the present day. Through the explanations of our guide, we can follow both the history of the military presence within the cavalry city, the battle of Lorraine from September 1944 to March 1945, but also the very evolution of the armament and the modes of communication. A room is even dedicated to the many memories that the soldiers were able to bring back with them from their missions around the world
