Specialist in the treatment of feathers and down, Castex is a manufacturer of natural duvets. This one was established in the Southwest, a traditional land dedicated to the breeding of palmipeds (duck in particular) in order to collect feathers and down of first freshness. These give spring, comfort and warmth to its top-of-the-range products, which are certified by Origine France Garantie. This excellent company has received the Entreprise du patrimoine vivant award.

History. Alphonse Castex opened the doors of his factory in 1908 and diversified his activity from the first decades: collection of rags, skins, pig bristles for brushes, scrap metal, wool for mattresses and of course feathers of all kinds. Gradually, its know-how specialized in interior living and Castex became a recognized professional for bedding articles, and provided decorators of cushions and upholsterers of pouffes and other furniture products. The 1980s marked the advent of the down duvet: surfing on the wave of "cocooning", all French households adopted it. The brand then began to manufacture luxury duvets and quilts.

The products: duvets, duvets, pillows, bolsters, quilts and accessories (overlays, slippers, covers)... Castex also retains as its core business the processing of feathers and down, most of whose activity is dedicated to exports.
