Museum dedicated to the international career of Georgette Dupouy, French painter

This museum aims to present the international career of Georgette Dupouy, a 20th century French painter born in Paris in 1901. About sixty paintings, as well as a reconstruction of her studio, illustrate the story of this woman who died in Dax in 1992. Georgette Dupuy travelled around the world alongside the greatest names in painting: Chagall, Corot, Dali, Miró, Picasso, Renoir, Utrillo... Warmly protected by enthusiasts and a handful of deserving volunteers, the museum also opens its gallery to other artists from here and elsewhere.

Un musée confidentiel mais incontournable
Une découverte que ces œuvres de Georgette Dupouy ! Il y a ici beaucoup d'émotion et sensibilité. on appréciera ces paysages mais aussi ces natures mortes et le parcours de cette artiste oubliée et qu'à mon sens nous devrions réhabiliter.

Musée ô combien intéressant. N'hésitez pas à y faire un tour si vous êtes sur Dax, en plus il n'y a pas beaucoup de monde donc c'est très agréable.

Quel dommage que le grand public ne connaisse pas cette artiste émouvante! pour moi ce fut une belle découverte, tant par l'étendue des sujets peints (portraits, paysages, gares...) que par sa palette colorée.
Le grand nombre d’œuvres d'un artisan exposées dans la même salle que les tableaux de G. Dupouy m'ont gênées car si on veut se reculer pour contempler les tableaux il faut sans cesse faire attention de ne pas renverser les œuvres de l'artisan.
