DOMAINE DU SARRAT
Botanical garden with over 1,200 trees from 27 families, classified as a natural conservatory for 2 rare species
The Domaine du Sarrat is listed on the supplementary inventory of historic monuments. The park was bequeathed to the town in 1988 by René Guichemerre, an architect from the Landes region, who had built his main residence here. The park is home to over 1,200 trees from 27 different families and 1,500 shrubs. The identification of two rare species has enabled the site to be classified as a natural conservatory. Guided tours by appointment on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 2pm and 4pm, and guided tours of René Guichemerre's house on Wednesdays at 4pm (06 47 60 77 67).
