DOMAINE DU SARRAT
Botanical garden with over 1,200 trees from 27 families, classified as a natural conservatory for 2 rare species
The Domaine du Sarrat is listed on the supplementary inventory of historic monuments. The park was bequeathed to the town in 1988 by René Guichemerre, an architect from the Landes region, who had built his main residence here. The house, inspired by the Californian style of the 1930s, is open to visitors. As for the park, it covers 3.6 hectares and features over 1,200 trees from 27 different families and 1,500 shrubs. The identification of two rare species has enabled the site to be classified as a natural conservatory. A compromise between French style and landscape style.
