Nancy is well served by motorways. We get to Nancy from Luxembourg, Belgium, and of course Metz by the A 31 to the north, Dijon and Lyon to the south. But beware, this highway is often overloaded, many accidents and frequent fog. Caution. And patience, especially since the reduced speed of 130 to 110 km/h, and even 90 km/h on the outskirts of Nancy and Metz (offset by a ban on double for heavy lorries between 7 h and 20 h, not always respected), because this axis is very popular and even bottled, especially on Friday between 17 a. M. and 19 p. m. From Paris, you arrive either by the A 4 via Verdun and Metz or by the N 4, put in 2 x 2 tracks since Vitry-le-François. It takes 4 hours of road. The A 330 makes it possible to come from the Vosges and in particular Epinal in 45 minutes. Please note that the motorways around Nancy to Epinal and to Luxembourg via Metz are free of charge. The 12 th State-State Plan Agreement provides for a major reinforcement of the connections of Lorraine with border regions, including Alsace, Champagne-Ardenne and Franche-Comté, as well as with the large European cities of Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg.
