PUNK RECORDS
Francis Kremer is a cross between Asterix the Gaul and his sidekick Obelix. With a long neck, albeit a little less blond than the Armorican warrior, and without the moustache, this pop-rock enthusiast "in the broadest sense" fell into music like the menhir-deliverer into the magic potion. And, like the two heroes, he resists. Again and again. He has overcome two major difficulties that could have threatened his business. The first, when the Rue des Maréchaux became pedestrianized and specialized in gourmet food. The second, at the dawn of the year 2000, when the MP3 revolutionized the record industry, consigning CDs to the closet, where vinyls had fallen by the wayside in the 1980s. And yet, his store is full of these objects destined to disappear. It's thanks to his passion, his vast knowledge of music and his incredible network of suppliers that he's been able to establish himself as a diehard since 1974. Today, it's the children of his first customers who push open his door, while vinyl lovers who have remained faithful to the medium ask him for a rare copy from neighboring countries or the USA. Don't hesitate to visit this record paradise, home to gems you won't find anywhere else in Nancy.
