UNION SPÉLÉOLOGIQUE DE L'AGGLOMÉRATION NANCÉIENNE - USAN
Seen above, Nancy is beautiful. But did you know that from below, it's not bad either? Created in the 1960 s, the Spaniard Union of the Nancesian agglomeration, or USAN, aims to «group people from the Nancy region interested in exploring, studying and protecting natural or artificial underground cavities». In other words, to all lovers of descent below the level of the earth! All activities (sports, scientific, cultural, promotional, educational, artistic, protection, relief, relief…) are proposed for this purpose: karst speleology (the best known: caves, flyers), subaquatic speleology (underground diving), speleology in artificial environments (underground, mines, saps, quarries), canyonism (open sketches), and depending on the opportunity: exceptional speleology (sub-glacial, volcanic). And because it's better prepared, the USAN offers weekly climbing and diving. Camps are organized during school holidays, here or elsewhere; the club also regularly offers large shipments abroad. It was USAN that created Nancy's speleodrome in the early 1970 s, so that it could practice its passion in peace.
