PIAZZA DEL CARRER
Go there and contact
This square, with its remarkable architecture, is a Unesco World Heritage site and home to the book fair.
You enter the city through the Arc Héré on one side or through the Place Saint-Evpre on the other. The Place de la Carrère was created in the middle of the 16th century, bringing together the old and new towns. The surroundings of the square reveal buildings with remarkable architecture: the Beauvau-Craon hotel and the Merchants' Exchange, whose wrought iron balconies are signed Jean Lamour. Placed on the Unesco World Heritage List in 1983, it hosts every year in September the Livre sur la Place, a renowned book fair whose reputation extends beyond our borders.
