Visit to discover the ruins of the castle of Salm located on an exceptional site in Pierre-Percée.
At Pierre-Percée, the ruins of the castle of Salm are still visible. Dating from the 11th century, the castle located at 495 m at the top of the Lorraine foothills was the fiefdom of the Counts of Salm, in Lorraine. The castle of Pierre-Percée, built in the Middle Ages, gave its name to the village. Nowadays, only ruins remain, located on an exceptional site at the top of a rocky spur. The courtyard of the castle extended to the north-west, on the less steep side of the slope. Free access. A first castle was built by the Counts of Langstein on the wooded heights overlooking the valley of the Vieux-Pré.
