WAR MEMORIAL 1914-1918
A monument designed by architect Ladmiral to pay tribute to the soldiers who died in the First World War.
The monument dedicated to the soldiers who died during the First World War is a monumental one. Erected in 1936, it is located on the Place Foch, at the intersection of Rue Gambetta and Rue Saint-Martin, not far from the church of the same name. This colossal work is the work of the sculptor Emile Bachelet, who studied the plans of the architect Ladmiral with great enthusiasm. Vosges granite was used as the building material, which reinforces the monumental impression of the monument.
