WINSTON-CHURCHILL SQUARE
Go there and contact
A square in Pont-à-Mousson, paying tribute to the old British lion, and to the smugglers of the 1914-1918 war.
The Boulevard de Lattre de Tassigny and the Square Winston Churchill have replaced the Rue des Moulins and the old quarter that bordered the river at the bottom of the bridge. A terrace was built. It serves as a dike from the old mill, of which a pile remains. Developed as a public garden, the Winston Churchill square pays homage to the old British lion, who fought with all his might against Nazism. A monument is also erected in memory of the smugglers of the 1914-1918 war. A project to develop the banks from the square to the Prémontrés Abbey is underway. To be planned during your walk in the town centre.
