ST. STEPHEN'S CLOISTER
Built in the and centuries, this impressively large cloister is the largest Gothic cloister in France.
The cloister was built in the 11th and 13th centuries. A long period, which is explained by the fact that it is the first largest Gothic cloister in France, with impressive dimensions: 54 m by 42 m. There are several remarkable details, apart from the large open bays and without embellishment, such as the evacuation of water for example, which is done through an ingenious system of an interesting series of gargoyles that completes the set, and gutters, designed by Viollet-le-Duc. A witness of the flamboyant gothic past of the city.
