Association Ouvrage A5 du Bois du Four in the form of a gigantic monolith (6,000) made of concrete, a must-see!
A5 Bois du Four is a ruin that was forgotten in 1945. A gigantic monolith of 6,000m3 of concrete, it was unique in the design of the Maginot Line. Purchased by the commune of Villers-la-Montagne in 1990, it was entrusted to an association of volunteers who have been restoring and refitting it for over 30 years. At the end of a two-hour immersive tour, you'll discover the subtleties of fortress infantry and artillery, and a restored 81 type B mortar firing chamber.
